Birthday: 16 July, 1984 in Hong Kong. She was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother’s country England. She grew up in 18 countries! Her real name is Katrina Thorquette. She got renamed somewhere on her way to the silver screen!
It is said that her father is a Kashmiri Muslim while her mother is an English lady. Her parents separated when she was very young. She has seven siblings. Favorite Indian food is dahi and rice. Her favourite beverage is well-made black coffee. Comfort food — sushi and cereals. Kat hates stuffed toys as they’re too cutesy and girlie. She wakes up at 6 a.m. but doesn’t switch on her phone for some hours. Never, ever, misses her swimming and yoga!

Won the British-Indian Actor award for the Zee Cine Awards (2008), Won the Stardust Breakthrough Performance Award (Female) for Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? (2005/2006). She was discovered at age 14 as a model for a jewellery campaign. She continues modelling in England and even walked the London Fashion Week. Kaif's London modeling work led to her discovery by London-based filmmaker Kaizad Gustad who gave her a part in his film Boom (2003). She moved to Mumbai and was offered a number of modeling assignments.
However, filmmakers were initially hesitant to sign her because she could not speak Hindi.
Kaif saw success with the 2005 film Sarkar where she played the bit part of Abhishek Bachchan’s girlfriend.
